Broken English is the seventh studio album by English singer Marianne Faithfull. It was released on 2 November 1979 by Island Records. The album marked a major comeback for Faithfull after years of drug abuse, homelessness, and suffering from anorexia. It is often regarded as her "definitive recording" and Faithfull herself described it as her "masterpiece".
Broken Heart is The Babys second album. The album produced The Babys first big hit "Isn't It Time", which reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1977. Broken Heart is currently out of print, but it can be found released as a double album with the self-titled album The Babys. Producer Ron Nevison seemed to help create a clearer sound and the album ranges from frantic guitar and drum solos to quiet ballads like "Silver Dreams".

The album has sold more than 15,000,000 copies worldwide, fueled by the hit singles "American Idiot", "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "Wake Me Up When September Ends". So is the Broken Man in The Broken Man scary? Well, sort of. Byers wisely does the work of having Rivoli's inner conflict (his failure as an artist, chiefly) mirror the outer conflict of being chased around by a crazy witch-certainly a literary fiction device put to good use here. Michael Byers is the author of the story collection The Coast of Good Intentions, a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award, and the acclaimed novel Long for This World, winner of the First Novel Award from Virginia Commonwealth University. Both were New York Times Notable Books. A former Stegner Fellow and Whiting Award winner, he teaches at the University of Michigan.
their needs A summer's disregard, a broken bottle top And one man's soul They follow each other on the wind, ya know 'Cause they got nowhere to go That's why I want you to know. I'm starting with the man in the mirror I'm asking him to change his ways And no message could have been any clearer If you wanna make the world a better place Take a look at yourself and then make a change. I've been a victim of a selfish kinda love It's time that I realize There are some with no home Not a nickel to loan Could it be really me pretending that.
